Description
Embark on a tropical flavor journey with the classic Hawaiian Pizza recipe. This delightful dish pairs the sweetness of pineapple with savory ham, creating a unique and irresistible taste that’s perfect for pizza night or any occasion craving a touch of aloha.
Ingredients
Pizza dough, ready-made or homemade
Pizza sauce
Mozzarella cheese, shredded
Cooked ham, sliced or diced
Pineapple chunks, fresh or canned
Optional: sliced red onions, chopped green bell peppers
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to the highest setting, usually between 450-500°F (232-260°C).
- Roll out your pizza dough to the desired thickness and place it on a pizza stone or baking sheet.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Sprinkle a generous amount of mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Arrange ham slices and pineapple chunks over the cheese. Add onions and bell peppers if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- Remove from the oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, then slice and serve.
Notes
For a crispier crust, pre-bake the dough for 3-5 minutes before adding toppings.
Draining excess juice from the pineapple will prevent the pizza from becoming soggy.
