Description

This seafood boil sauce is incredibly versatile and can be served poured over cooked shrimp, crab legs, corn, and sausage.Or as a dipping sauce for cooked prawns, lobster or langoustines. Try mixing with mayonnaise for a creamy sandwich spread.

 

Ingredients

Scale

1 Small Onion Finely diced

6 Cloves Garlic Finely diced

250 grams Unsalted butter

3 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning

2 Sprigs Fresh Thyme or 1 teaspoon dried

1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika

½ tablespoon Chili Powder

Black Pepper

Salt

1 Lemon

1 tablespoon Brown Sugar (optional)


Instructions

Finely chop onions and garlic by hand or in a food processor.

6 Cloves Garlic,1 Small Onion

Chop butter into smaller blocks and add to pan over medium heat. Stir until all melted.

250 grams Unsalted butter

Add garlic and onion to the melted butter

1 Small Onion,6 Cloves Garlic

Cook for 5 minutes stirring occasionally.

Add in all the dry seasonings, and stir through.
3 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning,2 Sprigs Fresh Thyme,1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika,½ tablespoon Chili Powder,Black Pepper,Salt
Add a squeeze of lemon and brown sugar (if using).
1 Lemon,1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
Cook for the final 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serve whilst still warm.
