Description

This Whipped Strawberry Butter is the perfect combination of sweet, tangy strawberries and creamy butter. Light, fluffy, and spreadable, it’s an ideal topping for muffins, toast, pancakes, or waffles. A delightful addition to any breakfast or brunch!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional, for added sweetness)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberries:
    • Hull and chop the strawberries into small pieces. Place them into a small food processor or blender and pulse until smooth. You can leave a few small chunks for texture if desired.
  2. Whip the Butter:
    • In a medium-sized bowl, beat the softened butter using an electric mixer or stand mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy (about 1-2 minutes).
  3. Add Strawberry Puree:
    • Gradually add the pureed strawberries, powdered sugar, and optional honey and vanilla extract to the whipped butter. Continue to beat the mixture on high for another 2-3 minutes, until it’s light, fluffy, and well combined.
  4. Taste and Adjust:
    • Taste the butter and adjust sweetness if needed, adding a little more powdered sugar or honey to your liking.
  5. Serve:
    • Transfer the whipped strawberry butter to a small dish or jar. Serve immediately, or refrigerate for later use. This butter can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. Let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving to soften.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can use browned butter or substitute half of the butter with mascarpone cheese.
  • This whipped strawberry butter is perfect for spreading on freshly baked bread, scones, muffins, or pancakes.
  • If you have leftover butter, it can be frozen for up to 3 months. Just let it thaw in the fridge before using.
