Description

These White Chocolate Spiderweb Brownies are a delicious and visually striking dessert, perfect for adding a spooky, festive touch to any Halloween or themed celebration. Featuring a rich, fudgy dark chocolate brownie base topped with a striking white chocolate spiderweb design, they are both fun to make and delightful to eat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 oz high-quality dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 oz white chocolate, chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  • Melt the Chocolate and Butter: In a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, melt the butter and dark chocolate together until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
  • Prepare the Batter: Whisk in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture until well combined. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Bake the Brownies: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
  • Create the Spiderweb Design: Melt the white chocolate in a microwave or double boiler. Transfer the melted white chocolate to a small piping bag or a zip-top bag with a small corner snipped off. Pipe concentric circles on top of the cooled brownies.
  • Draw the Spiderweb: Use a toothpick or fine-tipped tool to drag lines from the center of the circles to the edges, creating a spiderweb effect.
  • Chill and Serve: Allow the white chocolate to set by placing the brownies in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes. Once set, lift the brownies out of the pan using the parchment paper edges. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • High-Quality Ingredients: Use high-quality dark and white chocolate for the best flavor.
  • Don’t Overbake: Bake until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs to maintain the fudgy texture.
  • Perfect Piping: Practice your piping skills on parchment paper before decorating the brownies.
