Description
Crispy fries tossed with fragrant za’atar spice blend, served with a creamy and tangy tahini dipping sauce.

- 4 large potatoes, cut into fries
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp za’atar spice blend
- Salt to taste
- For the tahini sauce:
- 1/3 cup tahini
- 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2–3 tbsp water (to thin)
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 220°C (430°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Toss the potato fries with olive oil, za’atar, and salt until evenly coated.
- Spread fries in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until crispy and golden.
- Meanwhile, prepare the tahini sauce: whisk together tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and salt. Add water gradually until desired consistency is reached.
- Serve fries hot with tahini sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, soak potato fries in cold water for 30 minutes before baking, then dry thoroughly.
- You can also deep-fry the fries if preferred.
- Za’atar blend varies; adjust quantity according to your spice preference.
