Description

This Cheeseburger French Fry Casserole is comfort food at its best! Combining two classic favorites—cheeseburgers and crispy fries—into a delicious, family-friendly dish. Perfect for busy weeknights or game-day meals!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can (10.75 oz) condensed cheddar cheese soup
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package frozen French fries (crinkle-cut or shoestring)
  • Optional toppings: pickles, diced tomatoes, lettuce, ketchup, mustard, or ranch

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until beef is browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Add Cheese Sauce: Stir in the condensed cheddar cheese soup and milk. Mix until everything is combined and creamy. Remove from heat.
  • Assemble the Casserole: Spread the beef mixture evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  • Add the French Fries: Arrange frozen French fries over the beef mixture in a single layer. Top with the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
  • Bake the Casserole: Place the casserole in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the fries are golden and crispy, and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Garnish and Serve: Serve hot, topped with your favorite burger toppings like pickles, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, or a drizzle of ketchup, mustard, or ranch!

Notes

For an extra kick, mix in some diced jalapeños or bacon bits with the ground beef.
