Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can (10.75 oz) condensed cheddar cheese soup
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 package frozen French fries (crinkle-cut or shoestring)
- Optional toppings: pickles, diced tomatoes, lettuce, ketchup, mustard, or ranch
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until beef is browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add Cheese Sauce: Stir in the condensed cheddar cheese soup and milk. Mix until everything is combined and creamy. Remove from heat.
- Assemble the Casserole: Spread the beef mixture evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- Add the French Fries: Arrange frozen French fries over the beef mixture in a single layer. Top with the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
- Bake the Casserole: Place the casserole in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the fries are golden and crispy, and the cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Serve hot, topped with your favorite burger toppings like pickles, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, or a drizzle of ketchup, mustard, or ranch!
Notes
