Description

Cinn-A-Dew Pop Bread is the ultimate sweet treat that combines the irresistible flavor of cinnamon rolls with the fluffiness of a pull-apart bread! With gooey cinnamon sugar swirls, a soft dough, and a sweet glaze, this bread is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a dessert. It’s easy to make, deliciously indulgent, and will fill your kitchen with the best aromas!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Bread:

  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (homestyle or buttermilk)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar:
    • In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Biscuits:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
    • Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces (or quarters).
    • In a large mixing bowl, pour the melted butter over the biscuit pieces. Toss the dough pieces to coat them evenly with butter.
    • Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the buttered biscuit pieces, tossing to coat evenly.
  3. Assemble the Pop Bread:
    • Place the cinnamon-sugar-coated biscuit pieces in the prepared baking dish. Stack them randomly or in layers, ensuring an even distribution of the cinnamon mixture.
    • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and puffed up.
  4. Make the Glaze:
    • While the bread is baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl. Adjust the amount of milk to reach your desired consistency for drizzling.
  5. Serve:
    • Once the bread is baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Drizzle the glaze over the warm bread.
    • Serve warm, pulling apart the delicious, gooey cinnamon layers!

Notes

  • Biscuit Dough: You can use any type of biscuit dough, but homestyle or buttermilk biscuits will give you the best texture for this recipe.
  • Cinnamon-Sugar: Feel free to add more cinnamon to the sugar mixture if you prefer a stronger cinnamon flavor.
  • Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to enjoy the gooey cinnamon goodness again!
  • Make-Ahead: If you’re short on time, you can assemble the bread the night before, cover it, and refrigerate it overnight. Bake in the morning for a fresh, warm treat!
